Given a blank sheet of paper and a pencil, Fran sketches conceptual drawings for parts of the Strahl that need to be fixed, upgraded, or added as something entirely new. After she sketches out a dozen or so conceptual drawings, she selects the best ideas across her sketches and starts drawing a detailed overviews, cutaways, and schematics for fix/upgrade/addition.

Sketching fixes and improvements for the Strahl is something that Fran does habitually, no matter if she and Balthier have money to implement the fix or improvement. When in port, she often sketches details from other airships that catch her eye. Fran has a series of notebooks full of these sketches and designs.
